Common Questions
Do I have to give my real name?
No. A first name or nickname is fine. We only need a way to reply if you want us to.
Will anyone know I contacted you?
We do not send a copy of your message back to your inbox, so nothing extra shows up in your email. If someone checks your device, you can learn how to clear your browser history on our home page.
How fast will you respond?
We respond as soon as we can. This form is not watched around the clock, so if you need help right now, call the 24/7 hotline at 800-799-SAFE or 911.
I am worried about a friend. Can I still reach out?
Yes. Friends and family are often the first to notice. Start with Know the Signs, then send us a message about what you are seeing.
Safety from violence and freedom from fear are universal rights.
